Ownership disclosure
You should know who runs a site before you trust its rankings. Here is ours, and the rules that keep it from affecting what you read.
IPTV Help is operated by the owner of IPTV services. Those services are excluded from all rankings, reviews and comparisons on this site. Scores are computed from customer reviews by a public formula that is the same for every provider; editor-chosen positions are labelled, and payment never changes a score or a position.
This statement appears in the footer of every page on IPTV Help.
The owner’s service
The name of the owner’s IPTV service will be published on this page and in the site footer.
If the owner’s service is ever offered on IPTV Help, it appears only in a separate section clearly labelled as the site owner’s own service, never inside the rankings, the provider directory or the forum’s provider discussions as if it were an independent listing.
What “excluded” means
The owner’s service is kept out of everything that compares providers:
- Rankings: it has no IPTV Help Score and no rank, in the overall leaderboard or any category.
- Directory and reviews: it has no provider listing, so it can’t be reviewed or rated here.
- Comparisons and status pages: it never appears in provider comparisons or on the status board.
- Search results: we publish no star-rating or review markup (structured data) for it, so search engines get no ratings for it from us.
This is enforced in the software, not only by policy. The directory refuses to add the owner’s web addresses as a provider, and the ranking system stops its run without publishing anything if the owner’s service ever appears among the providers it is about to score.
Accounts belonging to the owner, staff or contractors of the owner’s service can’t submit provider reviews.
No paid placement
Rankings come only from member reviews and measured website reliability, through a public formula that is identical for every provider. There is no setting, admin form or paid option that changes a score. Editors can pin a provider to a position on the public list, and every such position is labelled “Editor’s pick”; payment never decides one:
- no sponsored or “featured” rankings;
- no paying to remove, hide or reorder reviews;
- no extra weight for providers that advertise, reply to reviews or contact us.
The formula changes only through a new, publicly versioned release listed in the methodology changelog, and every change applies to all providers at once.
How IPTV Help is funded
IPTV Help is funded by its owner. We do not sell placement in rankings, reviews or guides.
What the owner can and can’t do
The owner can run the site, write guides and moderate community content under the same community guidelines as any moderator. Moderation actions are logged.
The owner can’t set or adjust any score (list positions chosen by editors are always labelled “Editor’s pick”), can’t add the owner’s service to the rankings, and can’t remove a review because it is negative, because a provider asked, or because it suits the owner’s business.
How conflicts are handled
- Posts that mention the owner’s service are not held or removed for that reason. Removing one needs a stated rule violation, and “negative opinion” is never a valid reason.
- Moderation decisions about content involving the owner’s service, or a provider where the moderator has a declared interest, are recorded with a conflict-of-interest marker so they can be checked later.
- Appeals go to a different staff member than the one who made the decision whenever one exists. While only one person moderates, the appeal record says so openly.
- Guides are written to be neutral. They don’t recommend the owner’s service; where it is mentioned at all, it is labelled as the site owner’s service.
- Member data from the forum is never used to market the owner’s service unless you separately agree to receive messages that name it. See our privacy policy.
