TiviMate settings that fixed buffering for you

TiviMate has a lot of playback settings, and the "best" values depend on your device, your connection and your provider. Let's collect what actually worked, with context.

Settings people usually try first (names can change between app versions):

    • Video decoder: hardware decoding is lighter on the device; switching to software can help on some streams but uses more processing power.
    • Buffer size: a bigger buffer can ride out short network hiccups, at the cost of a slightly longer start time.
    • Stream format (where your provider offers more than one) and auto-reconnect.
    • EPG update interval: refreshing the guide less often avoids slowdowns on low-memory devices.

When you post, please include your device, wired or Wi-Fi, your ISP and what you changed, so others can compare. Our TiviMate setup guide and buffering guide explain each setting's trade-offs.
